category PP. Consequently, a noun with a genitive attribute has
category N/PP:
Nouns with a possessive determiner mirror those with a prepositional genitive attribute
in having category N/PP. Correspondingly, possessive determiners have category
NP/(N/PP):
Noun modifiers still have category N/N or N\N and
use composition to combine with the nouns:
Unlike in English, German and Dutch, in Italian, possessive determiners can
also function as attributive adjectives, following a separate determiner.
